peafowl and chick...


I love how this one turned out!
the original wasn't bad but I used an aged photo technique in Photo Shop
that gave it so much more depth and character.
it made the birds in the forefront pop out, while the background remains muted.

I shot these birds at the Pioneer Park Aviary in Walla Walla.
they have about 20 exotic birds, consisting of 50 different varieties.

actually, I had this photo printed large(12X16)for my FIL and it turned out GREAT!
not pixelated AT ALL!
I was afraid with the 6 megapixels, I wouldn't be able to print large but was pleasantly surprised with how the print turned out!
the D40 is fabulous, all around.
